Annually, I am known to wrap up with a post count between one and four. Which isn’t the absolute worst, but there’s always room for improvement. I made a vow this year, and I have been consistent and on the ball regarding Land of the Yute–my website.
I often look back to the commencement of this journey. It initially started as a photography portfolio and fashion blog; however, it has become something better. Besides acquiring new skills (filmmaking and directing), I have watched how my “fashion blog” evolved into something completely different. It became an extension of my mind. My passion project soon turned into a purpose project.
It’s been a fierce attempt to balance several personal and commissioned projects, writing scripts, booking shoots, and life. It baffles me how I can function and have not had a breakdown (not that I am hoping for one). I have come this far; I can’t complain. It’s still a long forthcoming journey, and I can’t get complacent. Not now, not ever.
Amidst the chaos, I managed to finish a 20-second project. One quite different from my structured deliverables. Enjoy.
